Description
Why use a pillowcase?
Good sleep has a considerable effect on our health and behaviour. Sleeping well keeps our bodies fit and improves our attention, memory, and mental health. Much emphasis is placed on the type of mattress and pillow we sleep on.
The quality of bed linen is essential. As your face and hair are in constant contact with your pillowcase during the night, it is necessary to choose it wisely.
Rest your head on the best fabric to dream on. Bamboo pillowcases are super soft, hypoallergenic, and have the same benefits for the skin and hairs as silk which is ideal to slip into Morpheus' arms at once.

• A soft and fresh feeling
One of the great advantages of bamboo is that it produces an incredibly soft fabric. The natural structure of the bamboo fibre has a smooth and curved shape. That’s why bamboo bedding makes you feel like sleeping in silk sheets.
As surprising as it may seem, and unlike other fabrics, bamboo is a material that becomes softer with each wash. This means that your bamboo pillowcases will stay soft and comfortable for a long time. See your nights transformed by experiencing a whole new sleep quality with bamboo bedding.
• The hypoallergenic and antibacterial features of bamboo pillowcases
The breathability of bamboo fabric makes it an ideal material for people with sensitive skin or allergies. Indeed, cotton sheets tend to retain humidity, whereas bamboo sheets wick it away efficiently. This prevents moisture from accumulating and prevents the sheets become a place where bacteria or mites can thrive. A good example are dust mites, which are a leading cause of skin rashes and allergies. Thanks to bamboo fabric’s wicking properties, dust mites cannot survive in bamboo pillowcases because the fibre quickly soaks away moisture. |
• Keep a comfortable body temperature all night long
Bamboo fibre contains many small gaps that it is so breathable and therefore has outstanding thermoregulatory properties. Indeed, bamboo bed sheets regulate your body temperature by absorbing and wicking moisture. Bamboo pillowcases keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
• Bamboo is the new vegan silk
It’s time to stop this preconceived idea that silk is the only fabric good for skin and hair. Indeed, too few people know that bamboo offers precisely the same qualities and even more.
‣ Anti-wrinkle properties
The moisture-regulating properties of the fabric are also excellent for the skin. Keeping your body at the right temperature during the night prevents you from sweating and thus dehydrating your skin. Secondly, unlike materials such as cotton, bamboo does not absorb all the moisture from your skin. This is a great advantage because dry skin is more likely to develop wrinkles.
‣ Anti-acne solution
Like silk, bamboo bedding also has antibacterial properties. This means that it is ideal for people with acne-prone skin.
Another property that bamboo pillowcases have in common with silk linens is that they also regulate sebum production on the face and hair. The supreme softness of bamboo bedding causes less friction on the skin, which automatically reduces sebum production and thus the risk of skin problems and acne.
‣ Take care of your hair with bamboo pillowcases
It is also the softness of bamboo sheets that makes them have less friction on your hair than cotton pillowcases. Indeed, your hair slides much better on bamboo pillowcases so that it will be less frizzy in the morning. However, bamboo has the advantage of being less slippery than satin, so your pillow will always stay in place in its case.
In conclusion, bamboo offers similar beauty benefits as silk while being vegan and cruelty-free.
• Tested for quality and comfort
We prioritize laboratory testing to ensure the highest quality of our bamboo bedding. Our bamboo pillowcases have been tested and validated to be antibacterial, anti-mite, and have excelled in cooling tests.

Impact
To help your planet, say goodbye to cotton bed sheets
Most bed sheets are made from cotton, which is hardly an environmentally friendly material. Indeed, industrial cotton is mainly grown in monoculture. This type of production requires about 20,000 litres of water per kilogram of cotton. When you combine this astronomical amount of water with the number of pesticides used, you can see why this material is so harmful to the environment.
Between 16 and 25% of the insecticides used worldwide are applied to cotton fields, even though these crops account for only 2.5% of the world’s agricultural land.
In addition to being detrimental to our planet, these pesticides and fertilisers are toxic to humans and put workers’ health at significant risk.
Sweet dreams in eco-friendly bedding
Fortunately, there are other materials than cotton to make sustainable and eco-responsible bed sheets. Bamboo beddings are one example, but other organic alternatives to traditional cotton or linen exist, such as eucalyptus fabric.
Made with respect for nature
Our Bamboo bedsheets are certified with the FSC label complying with strict environmental, economic and social standards in terms of responsible forest management.
The FSC certification ensures that the bamboo harvested in the forests in China comes from responsibly managed forests, preserving its natural and biological resources, as well as improving the well-being of local population, and maintaining economic sustainability.
Composition
100% bamboo rayonWoven from a natural, sustainable and renewable resource: the bamboo rayon. Bambaw’s entire bed linen collection, including the bamboo pillowcases, has a Thread Count of 250. Please note that it is impossible to compare the number of Threads in bamboo and cotton. The number of TCs varies according to the shape and nature of the fibre. Therefore, even though bamboo fibres have less Thread Count than cotton (250TC vs. 800TC) they are still softer because they are thinner. FAQ
How is bamboo linen made?
First, the bamboo is harvested. Then it is ground into chips and dissolved into bamboo pulp. The pulp then must be rinsed and rolled into long fibres. The final stage is to spin and dry these fibres to make bamboo reels. |
Are bamboo pillowcases good for hair?
Yes. Firstly, because bamboo is extremely soft, so your hair will glide more easily over the fabric and be less likely to be frizzy the next day. Secondly, because bamboo has moisture-regulating properties, so it will leave your hair nicely hydrated rather than dry.
How many pillowcases are in this pack?
This pack contains two matching pillowcases, so all you have to do is choose which size and colour suits you.
Is sleeping on bamboo pillowcase good for your skin?
Yes, because bamboo fabric has hypoallergenic and antibacterial properties, so it reduces the risk of skin problems such as acne or rashes. Secondly, because it's a moisture-regulating material, so it won't dry out your skin, which is a good thing because dry skin is more likely to develop wrinkles.
Are bamboo bed sheets cooler to sleep on than cotton?
Yes, bamboo is on average 3°C cooler than cotton because the bamboo fabric “breathes” better than cotton linen. Indeed, Bamboo fibres also absorbs moisture and wicks it away, allowing bamboo bedding to stay cooler during hot weather.
Do bamboo pillowcases prevent hair loss?
Much like silk, these pillowcases offer great benefits for the skin and hair. Because the fibre is so soft, it helps to reduce friction during sleep. This helps to prevent frizz, split ends and hair loss caused by friction.
What are the washing instructions for bamboo bedding?
Washing them at 30 degrees is still the best way to care for your bamboo bed sheets and keep them for a long time. We do not recommend bleaching or using fabric softener. Use baking soda instead and let them air dry. If you iron them, do it at medium temperature.
What’s the number of threads?
Bamboo has a TC of 250, but you must keep in mind that it is impossible to compare cotton and bamboo’s thread count. Indeed, bamboo has much finer fibres and is therefore still softer than cotton with 800 CT.
Are the bamboo sheets made of 100% bamboo?
Yes, Bambaw’s bamboo bedding set is made entirely from bamboo rayon fibres. These bedsheets are certified by the OEKO-TEX Standard 100. They are created in a sustainable closed-loop process to ensure that no harmful chemicals are used.
